Finally, I'm all finished

Throwback Thursday: Summer of 2014
Here it is folks, I have finally updated my blog! I think I like it way better than the other way it was set up... it seems more organized now. I was sad to see my links to Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook go but I figured out a away to have them in every post I make at the bottom! Be sure to check them out if you have the time (Pinterest is public and used most often)

Today is Jacobs first day back since his suspension... and I don't see it going so well. See, we noticed with us that his whole attitude and everything changed after nap time. With that being said we figured we should change his bed time. Kenny is going to talk with some of the people at school and find out when his behavior is at its worst and if it's during the second half of the day then I think we are on to something. We know sometimes he plays during nap time at school because he gets marked for it and we know (because of how he was here) when he does fall asleep he acts all moody, whiny, and different because he doesn't want to get up. We figured that maybe he just isn't getting enough sleep at night so we changed his bed time to 7 which gives him a full 11 hours of sleep. He was not happy about this... well he was fine at first but when his door was closed and he heard Elaina (who was loud on purpose I think) he didn't want to go to sleep and started throwing a fit. We went in there and explained to him why he was going to bed and that even though he didn't want to it was still going to happen and we ended up having to make him cry himself to sleep. Bad start already... let's not forget that he has this nagging cough and Delsym just doesn't cut it for him since we have to half the dose because of his age.
*Shrugs* we can only hope things get better.... if they don't then I have a feeling he's going to get kicked out of Pre-K (totally possible btw)

Sold!

I am completely 100% sold on this product. I know I said I would do the "two week" challenge but wow... these suckers lasted 3, 12 hours shifts in a row at my job and that is SUPER impressive AND they survived my constant lotion usage. I've already taken them off BUT not because they were coming off or anything it was because I read that people complained about the removal process and how it "messed up" their nails. Granted, I didn't keep them on for a long period of time so this is only basing it off of a week but I had zero issues. I've looked up different ways to take them off but ya know the best way for me? Break the seal like all the sites and everything say and then hop in the shower! Yup, all I did was break the sealing, get in the shower, did my usual routine, and when I was done and just standing there I peeled them right off. I take pretty warm showers, so that helped too but it was super easy and no fuss at all. What's even better is that there was no left over "sticky goo" or any trace at all that that they were even on in the first place. So! I am definitely going to order some for me and little lady bug once we get some money laying around. I'm pretty excited!

Speaking of excitement... I'm about to make a list for all the days our little Christmas elf is going to be at the house so I can have everything ready and pre-planned. There are tons of ideas floating around this little brain of mind plus I've pinned LOADS of ideas over on my pinterest board: Elf on the Shelf check it out ^_^

Hope you all have a great week!

Car Seat Magic!

Do you see this magic?! I didn't think it was possible to get the seats looking that good, but damn! I'm sure if we got them steam vacuumed they'd be even better, but this was the cheap way :) At first I used this concoction:

Ingredients and Items Needed:

1 cup Dawn blue dish soap
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup club soda
A heavy duty spray bottle
A scrub brush

First we vacuumed everything we could and got up anything that stuck to the seats. Then we added everything in the spray bottle. Make sure to shake it lightly to give it a good mix. Then spray the areas that need cleaning and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. After the short wait I started to scrub in small circular motions and started seeing it work before my eyes. In the picture the results of that spray is the middle picture. It wasn't as perfect as I thought it would work according to pinterest so I was a little bummed BUT I had a new idea!
This stuff! I've always had this in the house for as long as I can remember it works GREAT on carpet stains and on any surface imaginable (except maybe wood... don't try that lol) But anyway after I had been disappointed with the results of 'pinterest magic' I walked in the house and started putting everything away and my eyes fell upon the spray and I figured why not.

For this I didn't let it sit too long mostly because it has a heavy smell and I was using it in a small space even though the doors were open I didn't want to end up light headed. Anyway, I sprayed each stubborn spot one at a time. I scrubbed them in the circular motion until the spots started "sudding" up then with a wash rag I wiped it away and WHOA freakin perfect! Well maybe not perfect but definitely closer to what the other mess did. That right there is how I got the after pictures. I'm pretty happy with the results and since that was Kenny's car he was pretty damn pleased too lol.

I'm not sure if the Mean Green spray could have done the job alone so I think next time I'm going to do the same thing and maybe just use the cleaner on the heavier spots. HOPEFULLY it will never get that bad again lol.

Here comes the...

Haha, don't worry... I'm not engaged (yet) lol. Isn't that the best wedding cake topper ever lol I'm totally a beast at Halo, well I used to be like 5 years or so ago. Anywho, that's not the point in this entry...

Ever since I was a little girl I've always thought about how my wedding was supposed to be and how the dress was supposed to look. Over the years I've realized that weddings are pretty damn expensive especially if you try to achieve the "dream" wedding. I've had ideas planted in my head about how things should be, how things should look, whats supposed to happen and really... it's all a little unnecessary isn't it? I blame the media and well... society too I guess. What I'm getting at is why do the dresses have to be so extravagant? Why do they have to be so expensive? Why do you have to go above and beyond to "impress" your guests? And why do venues have to be so pricey too?

A lot of people would reply "it's only going to happen once and it needs to be special so you should go all out!" Ok... one, these days hardly anyone gets married once especially the ones who marry young. Second, isn't it already special? I mean you're about to commit and spend the rest of your life with the love of your life, isn't that special enough? I'm not saying going all out is a bad thing... but I really don't think it's for me. Yes, I do have a pinterest board with all my "ooo this is pretty for wedding!" stuff... but in all seriousness, I think I'm going to go through and make it practical and suit it to what I really want and what a wedding should be.

I'd be happy as can be having an intimate wedding in my parents backyard with close friends and family. Why not? I don't need to invite every single family member nor do I need to invite every person I've ever met. I don't need to try and impress anyone. It should just be me, my soul-mate, and our loved ones. I don't need a over expensive dress that I would never wear again. Why not get a fancy white dress and be able to re-wear it on special occasions like anniversary dates or whatever. I'm not looking for some over the top gathering so that I can post pictures on facebook and 'show off'. I mean... yes there will be pictures lol TONS of pictures but not to show off, just to share.

Is any of this making sense? What I'm really getting at is, I would already be excited, happy, and on cloud 9 just by knowing I'd be spending the rest of my life with the man I love... no matter how it happened, how much money was spent, or who all was there, that would be the only thing that would matter to me. Oh wait! I'd also like to point something out lol. I know above I said "hardly anyone gets married once"  Well just to let readers know... this woman would only get married once lol. I'm 27, I've got enough history to know what I want and don't want when I get married I know it will last. You may think I'm crazy for being so confident... but I don't give a damn lol.

Two Posts!

What! Two posts in one day?! Well technically, it's already Monday... but really who cares. I just wanted to take a minute and get a few thoughts written down. I've been browsing Pinterest and I've seen alot of quotes along the lines of "Just remember he's going to treat her the way he treated you" or "Don't worry, the things you didn't like about him she will hate too." That right there, really aggravates me.

Let's get a couple of things straight. Some people are delusional and they think they're being treated poorly because they're not always getting their way or there are alot of arguments. It takes two people to argue. If you're the one doing all the fussing/bitching/complaining and your significant other is just looking at you like you're nuts or is just chuckling... then you're the one picking the fights. I've been with people like this, they flip over EVERYTHING and secretly you think they're bipolar because that seems to be the only logical explanation but of course they don't see a problem with themselves. So if you're treating someone like crap then of course your partner isn't going to go above and beyond for you... why should they? When people are actually happy then they are going to act happy. I don't bash my exes... and if I did there would be only one I would do it to and that was back in the past. The way I treated them and the way they treated me is all because we weren't suited for each other... plain and simple. I was smart enough to end the relationships before rushing into marriages and having kids. But like I said, I would never talk bad about any of them... it's not the type of person I am. I know one day they will find someone who fits them perfectly and I'm glad I was a stepping stone to help them know what they want and don't want. Sure some of them might have yelled at me, over reacted about things, or didn't like the way I responded towards their opinions but by no means does that make them bad people or bad men for other women. Hell a few even cheated on me and yeah I may have been hurt at the time... but shit happens and they weren't the ones and that was a HUGE sign that they weren't.

On to the next quote... really? When you spend every day with someone for gee idk lets say 10 years. When you're with someone for that long and yall aren't even getting along and haven't been for the majority of the time then damn right some of the smallest crap they do is going to annoy the living shit out of you. It's just how things work. In my opinion it's a way of your mind telling you that "hey, maybe you're in a little over your head and here's my way of trying to tell you that you actually don't love this person since you want to be stubborn and deny it." I'm sure there's actually a scientific reason or something as to how over time little things like that mess with you... I've never really experienced it so maybe it's a mental thing for others. Alright, I'm a little off track. If you are with someone who really likes to party and you really don't... then it's probably not going to work out. If you're with someone who loves video games and you can't even figure out how to look around and move at the same time... then it's probably not going to work out. Yes, opposites attract... No polar opposites do not. Small opposites are what attract, like liking the same type of music but not all the same bands or one liking sports and the other would rather watch. There's still the same interests just to different degrees. I hope that makes sense haha. What I'm getting at is sure... you may not like something about someone but that definitely doesn't mean someone else is going to dislike the same things.

Take me for example... I am a very laid back individual, it takes alot to anger me, it takes alot to get me to yell, and it takes alot to upset me. A few of my exes just didn't understand my "emotional detachment" to certain things and really... it's not something I truly understand myself. I've had alot happen in my past dealing with my biological father and one really bad relationship and everything that went on with those two things built me into a very strong woman. They also taught me how to handle my feelings and how to not let things affect me that I cannot change. I've never met anyone like me... well technically I met him lol, I just didn't know he was the same because we didn't start dating back then. Yes I'm talking about Kenny. It's strangely creepy how alike we are yet completely amazing at the same time. I've never been this way with anyone else. I've never been the touchy feely, always gotta kiss him, missing him when he's gone, "spending time" in the bedroom ALOT (lol) type of person. But for some reason that's how I am with him... I can't kiss him enough in a day, I can't look at him and not smile, and I can't tell him in words how much love I really hold for him. What I'm getting at is by just looking back on how I've acted in the past and how I act now... none of those quotes hold any truth. When you're in love and I mean really in love it changes you or rather, it brings out what you already are? I'm not really sure... maybe I've always been this way but never felt like anyone really deserved it? Idk, that just seems rather mean. Regardless, Kenny tells me all the time how different he is with me and how he never really felt this way about anyone before. It's nice to hear "you're beautiful" every day and actually believe it when he says it. So I've also brought out the same effect in him as well.

I know this is a really long post/rant. But I really just needed to get some thoughts out so my mind can be at ease for sleep lol. If you read all that... you deserve an achievement, house points, or something to help you because it's dangerous to go alone. If you got all that and understood it, be my best friend <3

My New Project

That is going to be my next DIY from pinterest. Aren't they adorable!? I have a couple of empty soda bottles and I've been trying to figure out what to do with them and I'm so excited. I thought about doing a tutorial but I think I'd rather do the project first on my own and make my mistakes without having to worry about taking a picture every 5 minutes. There were a few more ideas that I really liked for recycling old bottles. Like this one:

This one actually already has a nifty tutorial here: Crafty Blog! I found it on pinterest also. I'm not too sure how often she blogs but I think I'm going to follow it regardless. Maybe I'll try this one in a couple of weeks.

Welp, other than my crafty mood I have some (hopefully) good news! The manager on my old shift has finally admitted they need help back on their shift and he's going to talk to our HR manager and see if he can push things along. SOOOOOO I may be back on my original shift here soon which means I get to start school, I get to have 4 days off a week, I get to see the kids more,  they get to stay here overnight more often to get used to the house, AND I get to spend more time with Kenny <3 I'm trying to not get my hopes up too high because it doesn't mean I'm going back like next week or anything but damn it's going to be nice to get away from second shift. Granted I have made some new awesome friends and I like a lot of people on that shift but I could really go without seeing a certain face or hearing that awful shreaking noise coming from its mouth almost every day lol. Alright, that was mean... truthful... but mean. Welp... I've gotta go rinse out my soon to be adorable as hell flower pots :3

Saving Money

Yup, it's one of the new years goal I have decided to stick to. I was browsing pinterest and I came across a pin on how a family paid off their house in 5 years with ONLY one income and they even had two kids during the process. I'm really excited to start this and Kenny has already agreed and is 100% on board. With the help of Dave Ramsey's baby steps and all the stuff I have pinned on my defeating debt & saving money pinterest board, I think I'm going to have a pretty nice headstart until I'm not alone in the house anymore. Obviously I won't be starting a $1,000 savings account alone lol, but I am definitely going to start budgeting myself more strictly with groceries, and watching my utility use around the house.

I don't really think I'll be following Dave Ramsey's baby steps 100%, I'm not really sure how I feel about investing since I know nothing about it. I know I could educate myself but idk, I'll think about it. Some of his ideas are pretty amazing.... you list all your debt from highest to  lowest (which is only 4 things for me) and you pay them off starting from the lowest first. I know this kind of seemed like a no brainer... but I think just seeing the positive outcome with someone else it kinda just clicked.

Regardless, I'm SUPER excited to start... my JcPenneys card is already almost paid off and then next my focus will be my student loan and the minimum payments I was using for my card will go to the loan plus the minimum it already requires... hope that makes sense lol. Alright, welp that's all for now, I gotta find something else to occupy my time with while Kenny is at work.
